BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – June 14, 2024 – Civitan International is pleased to welcome our new Director of Donor Relations and Strategy, Amasico (a-mace-io) Rainer (rain-er). Amasico will lead our existing philanthropy programs and events and focus on new corporate sponsorship relationships and fundraising opportunities. The donor relations and strategy position had been vacant since summer 2023.

“We are excited to welcome Amasico to our team and are confident his knowledge and expertise paired with his passion for nonprofit fundraising will make a substantial impact on our organization,” Mark Eisinger, Executive Vice President of Civitan International said.

Civitan International is a global service organization with a focus on serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization was founded in Birmingham, Ala., where the world headquarters still operates today serving multiple countries across the globe.

After five years as a Development Associate with University of Alabama Birmingham’s WBHM radio station (NPR affiliate), Amasico brings almost two decades of sales expertise, corporate relations, grants and a passion for philanthropy.

He is a seasoned professional known for driving revenue growth and making a profound impact on the nonprofit sector. He also had almost five years of customer service experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.

In parallel with his successful sales career, Amasico has dedicated his time and expertise to championing charitable causes and raising funds for nonprofit organizations. He brings a unique blend of business acumen and compassion to the realm of philanthropy, utilizing his extensive network, persuasive communication skills, and strategic planning abilities to drive meaningful contributions and create lasting social impact.

Amasico has a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s in English from Liberty University.
