Solidarity initiative in support of the family home “I Paguri – Onlus”: €400 donated from the Christmas raffle
A tea meeting held on Friday, January 23, 2026, inside the welcoming and charming Hotel San Anselmo in Rome brought together the members of the Civitan International Club Italia alongside Cristiana Guerra, head of the Casa famiglia I Paguri – Onlus, who was presented with a donation of €400.00 and, at the same time, a certificate recognizing the merit of the organization.
This act of solidarity began on December 9, 2025, during the end-of-year dinner organized by the Club at Terrazza Monti at the Hotel Glam. The occasion celebrated the holiday season and, at the same time, the values of hospitality and solidarity, also through a raffle that saw particularly enthusiastic participation.
In addition to the prizes won by some participants during the evening, the raffle raised a total of €400.00, which the Club’s Board had previously resolved to donate to the family home in order to provide concrete support to minors in situations of hardship. This third-sector organization had been positively recommended by a member who has long worked in support of the children welcomed by the facility.
“I Paguri – Onlus” is a residential facility that, since 2011, thanks to a group of professional educators, has hosted school-age minors of both sexes, mostly victims of abuse, trauma, social hardship, and abandonment.
The facility, located at the Azienda Agricola Boccea, is within the territory of the city of Rome and can accommodate eight minors in residential care. It also has a PAM room (Emergency Assistance for Minors), with the aim of ensuring respect for each individual, their psycho-emotional needs, and protection from intrusive and/or violent behavior.
The presentation of the activities that characterize daily life at the family home was delivered by the manager who, with passion, professionalism, and enthusiasm, conveyed to all attendees a deep interest in the children hosted by the facility, both present and past.
The large group of members who attended the event was enriched by the presence of representatives from the Civitan Club Young Professional Double I: Italy and International.
The elegant social moment dedicated to tea, served in the room adjacent to the event and kindly offered by the owner of Hotel San Anselmo, Roberta Piroli, made the gathering even more comfortable and welcoming—an associative moment devoted to solidarity that was also deeply moving.
