Held on March 27, 2026, in the prestigious UN Hall of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Second Edition of the Civitan Panormitan International Award brought together institutions, cultural representatives and the Sovrintendente, Maestro Marco Betta.

The initiative, promoted by Civitan Panormitan, reaffirmed its mission to honor individuals who contribute to the cultural, social and civic growth of the community.

The awardees included:

Emma Dante, Golden Lion; Oscar Farinetti, entrepreneur and writer; Cosimo Petraroli, internationally recognized young musical talent; Lina Prosa and Anna Barbera, for the 30th anniversary of the Amazzone project; and Nancy Cannilla, honored with a lifetime achievement award for her dedication to dance.

In addition to the main awards, 20 Certificates of Merit were presented to professionals, volunteers and organizations distinguished for their cultural and social contributions.

The 2026 edition also embraced a strong spirit of solidarity: Civitan Panormitan donated 70 Telethon boxes to the Pediatric Oncohematology Department of the Palermo Hospital, directed by Prof. Paolo D’Angelo, supporting both scientific research and the Easter celebrations of young patients and the medical staff.

The event was enriched by the support of numerous institutions, cultural and academic representatives, members of the press, artists, technical teams, partners and Civitan members, whose contribution ensured the success of the initiative.

Through this edition, Civitan Panormitan renews its commitment to promoting merit, supporting talent, fostering culture and building community through concrete acts of solidarity.
