Junior Civitans Visit Birmingham for 2026 All In Summit: This February, Junior Civitans traveled to Birmingham to participate in the 2026 All In Summit. This gathering of young leaders focused on collaboration and the continued growth of the Junior Civitan program.

Civitan Presents $355,000 Donation to the CIRC: Continuing a legacy of impactful giving, Civitan International presented a donation of $355,000 to the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC). These funds will support ongoing research and initiatives dedicated to helping those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
New Uganda Civitan Club Holds School Supply Drive: Our global mission continues to expand as the newly formed Uganda Pioneer Civitan Club organized a successful school supply drive. Their hands-on service is already making a tangible difference in the lives of local students.

Civitan Leaders to Attend The Arc’s National Convention
Civitan International will proudly participate in The Arc’s National Convention, held November 13–15 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Representing Civitan will be Executive Vice President Mark Eisinger, Volunteer President John Sofley, and President Fred Matthies, who will engage with fellow advocates and professionals dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Beth Towns Retires After 20 Years of Service
This October, Civitan celebrated the retirement of Beth Towns, whose 20 years of dedicated service left a lasting impact. More than a staff member, Beth has been a trusted colleague and a passionate champion of Civitan’s mission—her legacy of warmth, commitment, and excellence will continue to inspire.

  The Clarksville Civitan Club was honored with the prestigious Dr. Courtney W. Shropshire Outstanding Civitan Club Award, recognizing their exceptional year of service and leadership within the community. Their achievement highlights a commitment to going above and beyond in fulfilling Civitan’s mission of impact and inclusion.

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Past Civitan International President Horace Davis, 91, who served 1996-1997 in our organization’s top volunteer leadership position as Civitan International President.
Civitan Spotlight – Remembering George Oakley of North Carolina
Though he left us this past Christmas 2024, his enduring legacy continues to inspire his wife, Carol, and all who knew him, reminding us of the profound impact one person’s kindness can have on the world. He served his community as a Civitan for over 30 years.
