As of October 1, 2024, Civitan International effected a new Club in Good Standing policy for all clubs outside the United States, to be more relevant to local club operations, as well as simplify processes for these clubs. Notable changes from previous Club in Good Standing policy include:
- Financial obligations excludes region dues
- No longer references U.S. incorporation requirements
- Removes references to U.S. IRS, and instead gudies to local legal requirements
- Provides more flexibility on officer training requirements

Clubs in Good Standing with Civitan International are able to:
- Submit and register delegates for voting in International Elections
- Be eligible for Honor Club
- Be eligible to submit International Competitive Award Applications
The following simple certification process is similar to a process which all U.S. clubs complete yearly. This process also eliminates the need for the manual paper licensing agreement process which Canadian clubs participated in in 2023, instead, the licensing agreement can be quickly and easily agreed to here.
