Our vision is to be a global community where people of all abilities and talents make the world a better place.
Civitan Changes Lives
Civitan is the only service organization dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and through the Civitan International Research Center, we are helping find cures and develop treatments for autism, Rett syndrome, Down syndrome and many more brain-related disorders.
Civitans are Champions of Service
Civitan offers people of all ages the opportunity to selflessly serve their communities and make the world a better place. Whether building wheelchair ramps, developing inclusive playgrounds or fundraising for the Civitan International Research Center, we are a hands-on organization ready to roll up our sleeves to positively impact individuals in our communities.
Civitan Spans The Globe
Since the beginning, Civitans have united under a universal mission rooted in service. Spanning more than 20 nations in North America, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Islands, Civitan is truly a global organization dedicated to serving others.
SPOTLIGHTS
Civitan is making a difference in our local community through service projects. We meet monthly and have a variety of options for members to choose from that are making a difference in the lives of those around us.
Camp ASCCA Workday
Annually the Sylacauga Civitans participate in a workday at the Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults
Vidalia Onion Cookoff
Annually the Sylacauga Civitan club has a Vidalia onion cook off. It follows our annual Vidalia Onion fundraiser. It is a fun time of fellowship and tasty onion dishes.
Handicap Ramp Build
One of many handicap ramp and accessible projects the Sylacauga Civitans provide in the local community.
Clergy Appreciation
Every 1st week in February the Sylacauga Civitan club recognizes the local clergy in appreciation of their service to the community.

Volunteers needed to work at intersections and the water station.

S.A.F.E. Thanksgiving Meals
Volunteers needed to deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day to local community citizens.
