Award Summary:
Civitans stand behind those who love people with intellecutal and developmental disabilities, and the agencies that support them, so opportunities can be realized.

Club service projects in the Family & Community Support Impact Area specifically aim to promote the value of inclusion and serve family members or community agencies which support individuals with I/DD in a variety of ways. Some examples of these types of projects include but are not limited to: respite nights/events for caregivers, dances, parties or special events for those living in group homes or participating in day programs, special care or support for professionals working in the I/DD field, and more.

A single project or event may only be considered in one award category per year. Clubs are not permitted to submit the same project for evaluation in more than one award category.

Specific Award Criteria:
Region and International Awards Judging Committees will use the criteria below to evaluate and score applications.

Relevance to Family & Community Support for I/DD
Meets a specific need in the community
Measurable impact on I/DD community
Innovation/Creativity
Use of Resources
Club Enagement

Judging Process:
Applications from each region will be submitted to the Region Awards Committee for evaluation. Winners will be chosen for each region. 1st place winners from each region will be forwarded to an International Awards Committee who will then select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the International level from among the region winners.
