Award Summary:
This award recognizes a club’s efforts to raise funds to support the club’s philanthropic efforts and service (not club operations). An outstanding club fundraiser should have a specific purpose and beneficiary, engage club members, engage the community, and manage expense to revenue ratios wisely. Additionally, these projects have a goal, and planning chair or committee, a budget, and demonstrate overall good project management. Examples of club fundraisers may include but are not limited to: sales of goods or items (onions, plants, popcorn, wreaths, pecans, etc.), athletic events such as runs or walks, community events like festivals or pancake breakfasts, special events such as galas, parties, tastings, and more.

A single project or event may only be considered in one award category per year. Clubs are not permitted to submit the same project for evaluation in more than one award category.

Specific Award Criteria:
Region and International Awards Judging Committees will use the criteria below to evaluate and score applications. 

  • Has a specific beneficiary or purpose for proceeds
  • Innovation/Creativity
  • Club Enagement (involves high percentage of club members)
  • Community Engagement (outreach, who is involved, how many community members attend/participate)
  • Expense to Revenue Ratio (highly encouraged to be 15% or less)
  • Project Management (goal, budget, timeline, planning/chair committee)

Judging Process:
Applications from each region will be submitted to the Region Awards Committee for evaluation. Winners will be chosen for each region. 1st place winners from each district will be forwarded to an International Awards Committee who will then select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the International level from among the region winners.
