Award Summary:
This award recognizes a club’s efforts to bring awareness of the local Civitan club to their community. This campaign is not required to be carried out in association with Civitan Awareness Month, but can be carried out at any point throughout the award year. Awareness generated for Civitan should be the specific and sole purpose of the campaign’s activities. Awareness, in this sense, should not be the byproduct of other club activities such as service projects or fundraisers. The campaign may highlight or advertise Civitan activites including but not limited to the following: club accomplishments, club impact on the community, club membership drives, International Civitan successes such as the CIRC, etc.

Specific Award Criteria:
District and International Awards Judging Committees will use the criteria below to evaluate and score applications.

Sole purpose of project/campaign/activity is to bring awareness to Civitan in the local community
Innovation/Creativity
Club Engagement (involves high percentage of club members)
Reach (overall awareness distribution to community)
Awareness activities carried out

Judging Process:
Applications from each district will be submitted to Region Awards Committee for evaluation. Winners will be chosen for each district. 1st place winners from each region will be forwarded to an International Awards Committee who will then select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the International level from among the region winners.
