Mak Nong is originally from Long Beach, California. He grew up playing adaptive sports, eventually taking his skills across the country where he played Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball at the University of Illinois. Nong graduated in 2016 with a degree in Recreation, Sports, & Tourism. After college, Nong moved to France where he played professional wheelchair basketball and won a championship in the IWBF European League. Since returning to the US, Nong has become a member of the United States National Amputee Soccer team and has been working as an Adaptive Recreation Specialist for the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association in New Lenox, Illinois.
