Long-time Civitan International employee Stacy Sabo is retiring after a 28-year career with the organization. Sabo is currently the Director of Leadership and Training for Civitan, most notably facilitating its club officer training programs each year as well as supporting the elections processes at its international conventions.
Sabo was hired as Civitan’s Membership Services/Retention Manager. Over the years, she has supported efforts like the awards program, Governor-Elect academy, the VIP program, the associate member program, and helped with the International Board of Directors meetings. Some of her favorite memories from her Civitan career include conducting the Governor Update over the years with fellow staff members Sam Hughes and Louis Stephens, as well as travelling across North America meeting Civitans while conducting geographic training sessions with volunteers like Past International President Duane Capps.
“Stacy has been an integral member of our staff team for nearly three decades,” says Executive Vice President Scarlet Thompson. “I personally have counted on her knowledge, dedication and leadership over the past three years. The organization will miss her tremendously.”

Stacy loved working with you.
we will miss you!! Enjoy your retirement. You will find a new path and wonder how you ever had time to work.
For years, Stacy was a smile at Interntionl Meetings and a great person to know and workj with as a membership leader. I miss her being 2 CI.
Stacy-it has been a joy knowing and working with you. You are one of the many people I could count on and also enjoyed being with you at our conventions. It was really great when we had the two Denver Conventions as we seemed to always find ways to get into trouble (hahaha) when we were supposed to be working. Take care and love ya girl!!
