Project Purpose

Civitan Clubs often host school supply drives to benefit local classrooms prior to the start of the school year, but what happens when the class uses all the collected supplies? The purpose of this project is to help re-stock classrooms mid-year, or put together kits for students completing school virtually to outfit them with the supplies they need to complete the second half of the school year.

Budget

• The budget for this project will be determined by how you wish to complete the project
• Items that should be included in the budget are school supplies or gift card purchases from the club and/or any costs associated with hosting a Supply Drive such as promotions and marketing
• Available budget should be determined prior to meeting with school administrators to propose the project

How to Make Contact

• Utilize the script/introductory letter to reach out and explain the project
• Ask for a follow up meeting or phone call to discuss specific details and determine how the club can best support the school or classroom

Tasks 

• Meet with club members to determine if this a project your club can and should pursue
• Determine budget and the adaptation of this project you wish to complete
• Research and reach out to local school officials for permission to complete the project on their behalf
• Promote and complete project
