East Cobb Civitan Club | Georgia District
Members of the East Cobb Civitan Club organized and held a donation drive to collect items for children at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia. Devereux is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country.
Since the measures put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, several clients have been unable to leave the campus and have had limited visitation from family members. In one week, the East Cobb Civitan Club collected and delivered over 300 items, including games, toys, puzzles, craft supplies, videos, and books, for children at Devereux to enjoy.

Palmetto Civitan Club | South Carolina
The Palmetto Civitan Club members have been writing letters to individuals living in residential and assisted living facilities through a project they called Notes of Cheer. The club used this project to encourage Civitans and non-Civitans to get involved with their community.
Catoctin Civitan Club | Chesapeake
When members of the Catoctin Civitan Club learned that families with children with I/DD in their school system were struggling to purchase groceries and healthy foods for their children, they jumped in to help. While travel made it difficult for families to take advantage of local food banks and school lunch programs, Catoctin Civitans did the shopping for them. The club was able to purchase fresh produce and other nutritional and sustainable foods for these families.

First Coast Civitan Club | Florida
Several members from the First Coast Civitan Club have pitched in by picking groceries and prescriptions for some neighbors. A few have even gone the extra mile to cook a little extra so they’re able to share a warm meal with their neighbor or loved ones at assisted living facilities.
Region 7 | International
Marcia Dechand, Region 7 Director, has been keeping busy making teddy bears for children in her neighborhood to find while they are on walks. Each bear comes with a Civitan card attached to it so the lucky “bear hunters” know where the gift is from.
